Privacy Policy

Our approach to your files
Criply is built around two privacy models, and every tool page tells you which one applies:
- Client-side tools — processing happens entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files are never uploaded to any server, never transmitted over the network, and never leave your device.
- Server-side tools — your file is uploaded over an encrypted HTTPS connection, processed on our servers, and the result is returned to you. The original file and the result are deleted immediately after the download link is generated. We do not retain, read, index, or share your files for any purpose.
What we collect
We collect anonymous, aggregated analytics data — page views, tool usage counts, browser type, and country — via Google Analytics 4. This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used only to understand which tools are popular and to improve the product.
We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information unless you contact us directly (for example via our feedback or support forms, which are mailto-based and processed entirely by your own email client).
Cookies
We use analytics cookies set by Google Analytics only. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, session-replay tools, or any form of cross-site tracking.
Third-party services
The only third-party service that receives data about your visit is Google Analytics. It receives anonymised usage data (pages visited, tool used, browser type, approximate country). No third party ever has access to your files.
We accept voluntary donations via cryptocurrency. No personal information is required or collected to make a donation — only a wallet address and transaction hash are involved, which are public by nature of the blockchain.
Data retention
For client-side tools: zero retention — nothing ever leaves your device.
For server-side tools: uploaded files and processed results are deleted from our servers immediately after the download is served. Temporary files do not persist beyond a single request lifecycle.
Anonymous analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months, as per Google's default retention setting.
Your rights
Under GDPR and similar regulations you have the right to access, delete, and receive a portable copy of any personal data we hold. Because we do not collect personal data beyond anonymous analytics, there is typically nothing to request — but we are happy to confirm this in writing. For any privacy requests, email privacy@criply.co.
